SIACLTV - SIA Collective - (Somewhere In America Collective) is an independent, Black-owned fashion and footwear brand founded by designer Devlin Carter. The brand is recognized for its high-quality sneakers, innovative apparel, and strong community focus. SIA Collective stands out in the streetwear and luxury fashion space by blending authentic cultural influences, premium craftsmanship, and a deep commitment to giving back.
Devlin Carter grew up in Brooklyn and Queens, New York, as the youngest of six children. His mother, a seamstress and fashion designer, exposed him to fabrics and sewing from an early age, though he initially dismissed sewing as a pursuit for women. After serving 11 years in the Coast Guard, Carter’s creative journey began when he bought a sewing machine and made a dress for his daughter, inspired by his mother’s legacy. Carter’s entry into fashion started with customizing sneakers—painting Jordans and reconstructing them with luxury materials. His work gained attention from celebrities and the hip-hop community, drawing inspiration from legendary designer Dapper Dan and Kanye West. Carter later attended the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM) in San Francisco, graduating with honors, and ultimately decided to launch his own brand to maintain creative independence.
SIA Collective is more than a fashion brand—it is a movement rooted in quality, innovation, and social responsibility. Devlin Carter’s journey from Brooklyn to the forefront of independent fashion exemplifies resilience, creativity, and a commitment to uplifting the community. SIA Collective’s unique blend of luxury, culture, and community impact positions it as a standout in the modern fashion landscape.
